韓文起源

朝鮮王國的世宗大王於1443年（世宗25年）12月創建訓民正音（即朝鮮諺文），在全國廣泛發布是1446年（世宗28年），在標記韓語方面有著獨創性和科學性。

字母和音素上有著很強的關聯性。如字母「ㄴ」表示舌頭接觸口腔上壁。字母「ㄷ"和字母」ㄴ「都是舌音，但發音更強，所以在」ㄴ「上面加畫構成字母「ㄷ"。其他字母『ㄱ ．ㅋ』, 『ㅁ ．ㅂ ．ㅍ』, 『ㅅ ．ㅈ』, 『ㅇ ．ㆆ ．ㅎ』 也是根據這樣的語音原理創制。
